Leonard Middle School ranked in the bottom 50 schools in Texas. Most students at Leonard Middle School needed to meet state testing standards. Fort Worth ISD recruited me as the Instructional Coach to assist with the district initiative in transitioning to a Leadership Academy.

The newly passed House Bill 4545 challenged the campus leadership team. We devised a plan that would benefit students and teachers. After coming up with a comprehensive list of benefits, I created a proposal to feature the positive impact an eight-period schedule would have on student learning and House Bill 4545 compliance.
